Job summary

Schneider National is seeking a night-shift Intermodal Driver to haul freight containers on company-owned chassis. You’ll work with 99% no-touch freight, mostly drop-and-hook, across AL, FL, GA, NC, SC and TN, earning mileage and load pay plus on-duty hourly pay.

Benefits include paid orientation, PTO after 6 months, six holidays per year, and an annual bonus up to 3% of gross pay. HazMat and tanker endorsements are encouraged; $10,000 sign-on bonus for experienced drivers.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Drivers on this account drive at night.
• HazMat endorsement required within 90 days of hire; tanker endorsement strongly preferred.
• Live within 100 miles of Fairburn, GA.
• Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience.

Responsibilities

• 99% no-touch freight that is 85% drop-and-hook.


• Drive in and out of railyards within AL, FL, GA, NC, SC and TN.

Pay and bonus potential

• Mileage pay and load pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving.


• $10,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.


• Paid orientation.


• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.


• Annual bonus: Earn up to 3% of annual gross pay each year.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).


• Drivers on this account are required to drive at night.


• Tanker endorsement is strongly preferred.


• HazMat endorsement required within 90 days of hire — Schneider’s self-paced online certification training will help you secure it.
