Job summary

Schneider National in Forsyth, GA is seeking experienced intermodal drivers to haul freight containers on company-owned chassis. 99% no-touch, 85% drop-and-hook, routes through AL, FL, GA, NC, SC and TN, with night driving required.

You’ll earn mileage and load pay plus hourly on duty, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 months, paid orientation, PTO after 6 months, and an annual bonus up to 3% of gross pay. Comprehensive benefits and 401(k) with match are included.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Night driving is required on this account.
• HazMat endorsement within 90 days of hire; Schneider online training will help you secure it.
• Tanker endorsement strongly preferred.

Overview

• Haul freight containers secured to company-owned chassis.


• 99% no-touch freight that is 85% drop-and-hook.


• Drive in and out of railyards within AL, FL, GA, NC, SC and TN.

Pay and bonus potential

• Mileage pay and load pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving.


• $10,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.


• Paid orientation.


• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.


• Annual bonus: Earn up to 3% of annual gross pay each year.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).


• Drivers on this account are required to drive at night.


• Tanker endorsement is strongly preferred.


• HazMat endorsement required within 90 days of hire — Schneider’s self-paced online certification training will help you secure it.


• Live within 100 miles of Fairburn, GA.


• Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience.
