Job summary

Akumin is seeking dependable CDL Class A truck drivers to operate mobile medical imaging trailers for local deliveries of MRI, PET & CT units. You'll work nights, move trailers between hospitals and clinics, set up and tear down equipment, and ensure safe transport.

Training is provided (4–6 weeks). Shift times are 2 PM–6 PM start and 12 AM–4 AM finish, with 8–10 hour shifts 4–5 times weekly, weeknights and some weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license in the state of residence and DOT Medical certification.
• Clean DOT driving record.
• Able to set up medical diagnostic equipment at delivery sites (training will be provided).
• Must pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractors with automatic transmission with 1-2 years’ experience. 2 years of experience preferred.
• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle.
• Ensure trailers are securely connected to tractor.
• Set up medical equipment at destination.
• We will train on medical equipment specifics.
• Comply with ICC and DOT regulations.
• Always make safety a priority.
• Monitors, reports and/or repairs any mechanical or safety item that would prevent the safe transport of company equipment.
• May be required to perform Q.A. checks on equipment after arrival at site.
