Job summary

American Driver LLC in Cincinnati area is hiring Class A drivers for a Midwest regional fleet. You’ll be out Monday and home Saturday, with loads ranging across Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan and Illinois.

Weekly pay typically ranges from $1,000 to $1,400, with a $1,000 weekly minimum for the first 3 months solo, and $850 per week during training. New drivers train with a mentor; after orientation you go solo.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL from your state, 21 or older.
• CDL-A training at a truck driving school (minimum 120 hours), or 6 months of OTR experience in the last 12 months.
• Live within 100 miles of Cincinnati.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years.
• No DUI/DWI in the last 10 years.
• DOT physical, hair and urine drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Handle Midwest regional hauls, Monday departures and Saturday returns.
• Complete loads in five states: OH, KY, IN, MI, IL.
• Maintain safe driving and accurate logs as part of daily operations.

Job description

We are hiring Class A drivers in Butler County and the north side of Cincinnati for a Midwest regional fleet that sends you out on Monday and brings you home on Saturday. Loads stay in five states, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan and Illinois, so you are never far from home. Drivers average $1,000 to $1,400 a week, and the first 3 months solo carry a $1,000 weekly minimum. New CDL holders train with a mentor at $850 a week. Drivers with 6 months or more of recent experience go solo after orientation.

The short version

• Out Monday, home Saturday, every week
• Five states, short and medium runs
• Extra load pay on most shorter loads
• Holidays are voluntary

The longer version

This fleet runs shorter hauls than most. That means more loads in a week, and most of them pay a flat load bonus on top of your miles: $40 on runs under 150 miles and $25 on runs from 150 to 250 miles. You also earn $15 per stop. Freight is dry van, with drop and hook, preloads, live loads and live unloads. Dispatch runs day and night. Weekends are home time unless you choose to work.

• $0.56 to $0.59 per mile based on verifiable experience
• 1,500 to 1,800 miles a week

Getting started

A recruiter calls and reviews your license and record. Orientation takes two days at most, with your hotel covered and your bus ticket paid back, and pays $300 once you are hired. New drivers then train 3 to 5 weeks with a mentor, about 200 to 250 hours. With 6 months of OTR experience in the last 12 months, you skip that and start solo in your own assigned truck.
