Job summary

Bulk Environmental & Industrial is seeking a Driver-Long Distance to operate company commercial vehicles on long-haul routes between client sites, transfer stations and landfills. You will be responsible for on-time, damage-free delivery and compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations while providing courteous customer service.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, accurate DVIRs, hours-of-service compliance, proper load securement, and timely completion of shipping documents.

Qualifications

• Must meet DOT/FMCSA driver qualification requirements including a valid DOT medical certificate.
• Pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and DVIRs must be completed accurately.
• Loads must be secured and within legal weight limits; proper tarping.
• Must be able to be away from home overnight and work flexible hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates a tractor-trailer in compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations and company policies.
• Performs thorough pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections; reports defects.
• Records hours of service using ELD; stays within hours-of-service limits.
• Picks up and delivers loads on schedule and communicates delays promptly.
• Ensures loads are properly secured, tarped and within legal limits.
• Completes shipping documents and submits on time.
• Follows site rules and PPE requirements; maintains professional image.
• Maintains vehicle and reports any accidents or cargo issues promptly.
