Job summary

Carter Machinery Co. Inc. is seeking a Logistics Driver at South Hill La Crosse, VA. The role starts with a 1st shift and a starting wage of $22.68–$33.53 per hour, with a sign-on bonus available up to $10,000 paid in two installments after 90 and 180 days.

You will load, secure and transport equipment, perform inspections, and support customers with safe, compliant deliveries. A CDL A license with 2+ years of experience is required.

Qualifications

• CDL A license required, with two years' experience including heavy-haul/tractor-lowboy.
• Knowledge of DOT safety standards and company regulations.
• Able to operate five- or six-axle trucks and conduct basic inspections.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver products safely and promptly.
• Load/unload and verify orders match manifests.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic truck maintenance.
• Operate forklift as needed and train drivers when required.
