Job summary

ABF Freight is seeking associates for hourly, dock‑to‑dock work in New Jersey. The role involves pickup and delivery of cargo, loading/unloading, and trailer setup with flexible shifts including nights and weekends. A Class-A CDL with required endorsements and at least 1 year of tractor/trailer experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience preferred but training may be available.
• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazmat endorsements required.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine paperwork effectively and log loading sheets.
• Exercise independent judgment in trailer handling to optimize time and resources while complying with weight laws.
• Operate a forklift as needed.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Perform tasks from check-in to tractor/trailer inspection and set up for pickup/delivery.
