Job summary

Sysco in Reno seeks a CDL-A delivery driver to operate daily routes with frequent stops, loading and unloading using hand trucks, and working in a cross-dock model at loading docks. You may assist with loading, palletizing, and other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.

Candidates must be 21+ with a valid Class A CDL and a clean driving record, and be able to read and speak English well. Physical ability to lift 40–100 pounds repeatedly and comply with DOT regulations is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• Able to read and speak English sufficiently for communications and reports.
• Ability to lift 40–100 pounds repeatedly, with frequent pushing/pulling of pallets and loads.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated times.
• Unload products from trailers using hand trucks and place in designated areas.
• Transport and maneuver product in all weather and varying building layouts.
• Verify delivery with customers and obtain signatures; communicate discrepancies.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and maintain customer relations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and Sysco policies.
