Job summary

Sysco is seeking a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver to operate daily routes, load and unload product, and ensure accurate deliveries with proper signatures. The role requires adherence to DOT regulations and safety procedures, with a starting hourly rate of $27.00 and excellent benefits.

Responsibilities include route efficiency, handling pallets, assisting with loading when needed, and maintaining customer relations while meeting all safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.
• Able to lift 40–100 pounds and assist with loading/unloading.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Able to read, write and speak English to communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, and place in designated customer storage areas.
• Frequently lift, push, or move product weighing 1–75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; stack/unstack pallets.
• Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures; communicate errors/returns.
• Calls in when a customer does not receive their entire order.
• Handles customer complaints professionally.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities in accordance with DOT regulations and Sysco policies and procedures.
