Job summary

Sysco in Belleville, IL is seeking a full-time CDL-A Truck Driver to transport product from the warehouse to customer locations, adhering to invoices and company standards and ensuring safe, on-time deliveries.

You will load/unload per customer specs, maintain DOT logs and vehicle records, follow safety protocols, and communicate with management about route changes, while working an overnight schedule including weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
• Completion of tractor-trailer driving school will be accepted in lieu or in addition to high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports product from the warehouse to the customer location and ensures timely delivery per route.
• Loads and unloads product per customer specifications.
• Completes paperwork per DOT and company guidelines (logs, inspections, maintenance reports, bill of ladings).
• Maintains food safety protocols (proper temperatures) in the vehicle.
• Follows safety procedures and communicates deviations to management.
• Operates equipment (trailers, pallets, carts) and uses on-board computer as required.
• Maintains customer relationships through courteous service and clear communication.
• Works scheduled hours including overtime and weekends as needed.
