Job summary

American Trucking Group USA, LLC is seeking CDL-A drivers for regional no-touch automotive freight based in Lafayette, LA. Earn $1,300 to $1,550 weekly with 7–10 days out, plus a monthly safety bonus up to $750.

Drive Peterbilt 579 tractors with no-touch/many drop-and-hook loads, receive online orientation and home-time flexibility where possible. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid vacation, and 24-hour dispatch support.

Job description

Pay: $1,300 to $1,550 per week | Home Time: 7-10 days out

Hiring Area: Lafayette, LA | Freight: No-touch automotive freight

• Established automotive freight lanes
• Approximately 90% drop-and-hook freight
• 2,500-3,000 miles per week
• Monthly safety bonus up to $750

Regional freight movement and dependable scheduling provide drivers with established lanes and planned freight activity throughout the week. No-touch automotive freight and frequent drop-and-hook loads help reduce delays at customer locations while supporting consistent miles across the network.

Freight, Routes & Miles

• Drivers primarily operate east of I-35 hauling automotive freight.
• Freight is 100% no-touch with approximately 90% drop-and-hook loads.
• The average length of haul is around 500 miles, with drivers typically running 2,500-3,000 miles per week.

Established customer locations and recurring freight lanes help maintain steady freight movement throughout each dispatch cycle.

Pay

Drivers earn $1,300 to $1,550 per week, with an additional monthly safety bonus of up to $750.

Home Time

Drivers typically stay out 7-10 days followed by a 34-48 hour reset at home. We work with drivers whenever possible when home time needs arise.

Equipment

• Drivers operate primarily Peterbilt 579 tractors along with other well-maintained equipment.
• Trucks are equipped with inverters and refrigerators for time on the road.
• Assigned equipment may be taken home during home time.

Orientation

Orientation is completed online, and DOT physicals are scheduled close to home whenever possible. Transportation to pick up your truck is provided after onboarding.
