Job summary

Schneider National is seeking drivers for intermodal operations around Charlotte, NC. You will haul freight containers secured to company-owned chassis, with substantial no-touch and drop-and-hook work near railyards across several states.

This full-time role offers mileage and load pay plus hourly pay on duty, paid orientation, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) match. A strong industry orientation and paid training for HazMat are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• HazMat endorsement required within 90 days of hire; training available.
• Tanker endorsement strongly preferred.

Overview

Pay and bonus potential

• Mileage pay and load pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving.
• Paid orientation.
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.
• Annual bonus: Earn up to 3% of annual gross pay each year.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Tanker endorsement is strongly preferred.
• HazMat endorsement required within 90 days of hire - Schneider’s self-paced online certification training will help you secure it.
• Live within 100 miles of Charlotte, NC.
