Job summary

Schneider is seeking an Intermodal truck driver to haul freight containers on company-owned chassis with 100% no-touch freight. The role covers railyard operations across IA, IL, IN, MI, and WI with weekly home time and starting pay in the weekly range stated in benefits.

Qualified candidates hold a valid Class A CDL, with Tanker and HazMat endorsements preferred. Requires 3 months of experience and living within 30 miles of Gary, IN.

Average pay: $1,300-$1,590 weekly

Home time: Weekly

Experience: 3 months or greater CDL experience

Overview

• Haul freight containers secured to company-owned chassis.

• 100% no-touch freight that is 50% drop-and-hook.

• Drive in and out of railyards within IA, IL, IN, MI and WI.

Pay and bonus potential

• Mileage pay and load pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving.

• Longevity bonus: Earn 3% of annual gross pay each year.

• $12,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.

• Paid orientation.

• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

• Tanker endorsement and HazMat endorsement are strongly preferred.

• Live within 30 miles of Gary, IN.

• Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience.
