Larlham Landscape Construction Co. in Charlestown, RI is seeking a CDL A certified driver/equipment operator to join our hands-on team. You’ll pick up and deliver high-quality landscape construction projects from start to finish while operating heavy equipment in the field.

This role emphasizes safety, reliability, teamwork, and the ability to read site plans and follow project specifications. You’ll perform pre-trip inspections, support grading and site prep, and ensure compliance with DOT

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) required.
• Proven experience operating heavy construction or landscaping equipment.
• Clean driving record and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret site plans and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction and landscaping equipment including excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, and loaders
• Transport equipment, materials, and supplies to and from job sites using a Class A commercial vehicle
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure safe operation
• Assist with grading, excavation, and site preparation for landscape construction projects
• Follow project plans, site layouts, and supervisor instructions to meet project specifications
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any mechanical issues promptly
• Adhere to all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies on and off the road
