The role involves performing inspections, executing complex maneuvers, providing basic maintenance, and mentoring junior operators while following DOT regulations and site-specific safety rules.

Qualifications

• CDL-A Required with no restrictions.
• Previous experience operating equipment.
• Proficient with at least one piece of Key Equipment.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot simple mechanical failures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and oversee key equipment during derailment recovery.
• May perform labor duties as needed.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment.
• Perform advanced equipment maneuvers including lifting, rerailing, and stabilizing derailed railcars.
• Perform preventative maintenance on heavy or specialized equipment.
• Maintain proper equipment appearance and cleanliness.
