Hulcher Services is hiring a CDL A Heavy Equipment Operator Apprentice I to learn and operate specialized equipment used in railroad derailment response. You will train with seasoned crews, support emergency operations, and travel within your region as needed.

The role includes hands-on equipment operation, setup, maintenance, and safety-focused work in demanding environments, with full-time, year-round employment and company-paid benefits.

Qualifications

• Has a valid Class A CDL with no restrictions and a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work in a 24/7 emergency response environment.
• Must pass required background screenings and tolerates physically demanding outdoor work.

Responsabilités

• Transport specialized heavy equipment using tractor-trailers and escort vehicles.
• Assist with railroad derailment recovery operations and learn to operate heavy recovery gear.
• Perform equipment setup, maintenance, cleaning, and inspections; use hand/power tools and welding equipment.
• Work safely around active railroads, bridges, waterways, and industrial environments.
• Follow all safety procedures and operational standards.
