R.J. Corman Railroad Group, LLC in Nicholasville, KY is seeking a Grapple Truck Operator to join our field team. The position involves operating grapple trucks and other CDL-A equipment to support derailment recovery operations while adhering to safety and DOT regulations.

The role requires a valid CDL-A with manual endorsement and a DOT Medical Card. You will perform heavy lifting, equipment maintenance, and use various tools; on-the-job training is provided with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license with no restrictions and manual endorsement.
• Valid DOT Medical Card required.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe vehicle operation.
• Ability to operate grapple trucks and other heavy equipment.
• Experience with welding or cutting torch operations preferred.
• Pass background check, drug screen, and physical capacity test.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Transport, operate, and service heavy equipment used in derailment recovery.
• Safely operate grapple trucks and other CDL-A vehicles/equipment.
• Handle heavy steel chains, blocks, cables, and other recovery materials.
• Perform equipment maintenance, cleaning, and setup.
• Use hand and power tools, including cutting torches and welding equipment.
• Perform manual labor such as digging and hammering.
• Follow DOT regulations and permit requirements.
• Maintain safe work practices and proper PPE usage.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
