Performance Foodservice is seeking an experienced CDL-A Driver to support our food distribution operations. This role requires starting between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM, driving tractor trailers or straight trucks across local and interstate routes, and delivering products safely on schedule.

You will perform pre/post trip inspections, document loads, interact professionally with customers, and ensure proper signatures and payments when required. Health benefits are offered from day one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card.
• Able to lift and move freight up to 90 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and ensures safety standards.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Reports safety hazards and checks trailer load security.
• Verifies deliveries and obtains required signatures; collects payments where required.
• Loads/unloads freight; secures equipment and freight.
• Completes daily hours-of-service logs per federal/state/company rules.
• Maintains clean tractor, loading dock area, and trailer cleanliness.
• Assists with related duties as needed.
