Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a CDL-A Driver to deliver food and related products to customers across intrastate and interstate routes, including overnight and layover trips. The role requires touch freight and adherence to DOT regulations, with duties spanning loading, unloading, and ensuring on-time delivery.

You will interact with customers, perform safety checks, maintain logs, and complete paperwork while upholding safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required.
• Performs all required safety checks per DOT regulations and inspects tractor/truck and trailer.
• Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
• Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures.
• Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule.
• Unloads products from the trailer and transports to customer storage areas.
• Completes daily hours-of-service logs and necessary paperwork.
