Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED
• Age: At least 21 years old
• CDL: Must have a CDL with proper endorsements
• Driving Record: Safe driving record required
• DOT Requirements: Must pass DOT physical exam and drug test; subject to random drug and alcohol testing
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months verifiable experience driving Class A vehicles; driving with 6–<2 years requires 'Gearing Up' program

Responsibilities

• Meet CDL requirements within established time limits
• Adhere to all State and Federal Highway Rules and Regulations
• Ensure proper loading and placement of product, including weight distribution
• Secure each load effectively to prevent shifting or damage during transport
• Protect products from damage, including weather conditions, during transportation
• Inspect fleet equipment to ensure it is in good working order and kept clean
• Support the use of new technology and equipment installed in trucks
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers and officials
• Employ safe driving practices at all times
• Prepare materials for unloading at destination and supervise unloading
• Immediately report any problems or accidents to Traffic Manager and authorities
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Demonstrated reliable work history
• Must be detail-oriented with precision and quality
