Job summary

Valor is seeking CDL A drivers for local intermodal work with home daily schedules. Shifts run Tue-Sat or Sun-Thu, with starting times after 15:00. Expect a mix of CPM and accessorial pay, plus a $10K sign-on paid over the first year.

All freight is no touch and drivers will operate from railyards in KC or Edgerton. Annual earnings range from approximately $75k to $80k, with weekly pay between $1,440 and $1,640.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum driving experience per requirements listed in job posting.
• No more than two moving violations in three years and PSP considerations.

Responsibilities

• Local intermodal driving from KC area rail yards to destinations within the region.
• No-touch cargo handling and daily home time.

CDL A Drivers No Touch Local Intermodal Home Daily (Full Time)
Types of Jobs: Dedicated Home Daily

Class A drivers run Local Intermodal home daily. Drivers will run either Tue-Sat or Sun Thur. Drivers MUST be flexible and be willing to work either shift. All starting times will be after 15.00. Drivers average $75 to $80K/Yr along with a $10K sign on that is paid out over the first year.

Drivers will pick up at railyard in KC or Edgerton

Drivers will earn $1440 to $1640/WK. All freight is no touch

Drivers earn a mix of CPM along with accessorial charges.

Drivers will run evenings either Tue-Sat or Sun-Thur and must be flexible on scheduling

Applicants must have reliable transportation to and from yard and need to live within 60 miles of Edgerton or Kansas City

Requirements:

• - Experience:
• o Either 3 months verifiable Class A experience in the last 6 months OR
• o 6 months verifiable Class A Experience in the last 12 months
• o 12 months verifiable in the last 5 years
• - No more than 2 moving violations or incidents in the last three years and PSP warnings count towards a violation
• - No more than 3 minor incidents or accidents in the last three years at fault
• - No more than one highway accident in the last 12 months
• - No major preventable accidents in the last three years in which the total accident cost was greater than $25,000
• - Can not have failed a DOT Drug test in the last five years and must have one full year of safe driving under the SAP program
• - If terminated from job for accidents must have 12 months of safe driving experience
• - If terminated from job for safety that was not an accident must be 6 months of safe driving
• - All felonies and misdemeanors will be reviewed by safety but may not have any felonious drug charges in the last 7 years
• - No more than two DUIs in a lifetime and none in the last five years
• - No more than 5 jobs in last 3 years
