Job summary

Performance Foodservice is hiring a Training Specialist to coach delivery drivers on all duties, safety, and DOT compliance, using our guides and checklists. The role emphasizes hands-on classroom and field instruction and the transfer of knowledge to improve performance.

You will provide timely feedback, work with new hires and experienced drivers, and support route execution while upholding company standards and safety goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years route delivery driver experience in foodservice.
• Valid CDL A license.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Current DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to lift up to 90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on training to drivers in classroom and field settings.
• Utilize training guides, manuals, checklists, and DOT regulations to ensure compliance.
• Provide verbal and written feedback with development actions.
• May run routes per business needs.
• Support customer service quality and on-time deliveries.
• Collaborate with supervisory staff to develop trainees.
