McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Trainee Component Driver in Temple, TX. This role develops driving skills while gaining exposure to warehouse operations and delivery responsibilities.

Trainees learn to attach trailers, operate a tractor-trailer safely, and document deliveries for customer locations. Responsibilities include security checks, DOT compliance, and customer service to ensure on-time delivery of undamaged products.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must possess a Class A CDL.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to load/unload and deliver all products as ordered by McLane customers.
• Read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
• Strong communication with customers and management.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely following DOT regulations and company policies.
• Inspect equipment for defects pre/post trip and document findings.
• Use DDH, document receipts and temperatures, ensure product security.
