Job summary

A leading food distribution company in Wisconsin is looking for a Driver Trainee to learn driving skills while delivering food products on local routes. The position offers a competitive first-year salary starting at $65,000 and includes a $7,500 hiring bonus for qualified candidates with a CDL A license. The successful candidate will work Monday through Friday and will receive training to ensure safe and compliant deliveries in a supportive company environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 0-6 months commercial driving experience
• Valid CDL A
• Must be 21 years of age
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
• Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move product cases/freight

Responsibilities

• Complete PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee training as required.
• Assist driver trainer in executing deliveries.
• Perform all required safety checks including inspections.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving policies.
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded freight and complete paperwork.
• Drive and deliver customer orders according to route schedule.
• Unload products and verify delivery with customer.
• Complete daily record of hours of service as per regulations.
