Performance Food Group in Manassas, VA is seeking an entry level Driver Trainee to learn tractor-trailer and straight truck routes while delivering and unloading food products. You will follow DOT rules and work with customers and teammates in a safety‑minded environment.

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• External entry level hire: 0-6 months experience with a CDL A.
• Internal PFG candidates: 1 year of service in good standing and able to attain CDL Permit and DOT Health Card.

Responsabilités

• Attend and complete the Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program as required.
• Assist driver trainer with deliveries and follow instructions.
• Perform safety checks before and after trips according to DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies; report hazards.
• Inspect trailers, verify inventory and paperwork; ensure proper loading and unloading.
• Drive to deliver orders according to schedule and secure cargo for transit.
• Unload at customer locations, collect signatures, and handle returns per policy.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean; complete daily hours of service logs.
