Performance Foodservice seeks an entry-level Driver Trainee to learn tractor-trailer and straight truck routes, starting in Manassas, VA or Sterling, VA. You will train on safety checks, DOT compliance, and customer service while supporting home daily deliveries.

First-year earnings exceed $95,000 with comprehensive benefits and growth within a nationwide food distribution leader. No night shifts on Sundays through Thursdays as noted in the posting.

Formación

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• Internal PFG candidates: 1 year of service and able to attain CDL Permit and Health Card.
• External entry level: 0-6 months CDL A experience.
• Valid CDL A and be at least 21 years old.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and road test.
• DOT Health Card current or attainable.
• Able to lift and move freight up to ~90 lbs; operate lift equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Attend and complete Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training as required.
• Assist driver trainer and follow instructions during deliveries.
• Perform safety checks and inspections per DOT regulations; report issues.
• Follow DOT rules and company safety guidelines and report hazards.
• Inspect trailer loads and paperwork, secure freight, and communicate with customers.
• Drive to deliver orders on schedule; unload, verify and obtain signatures.
• Move returns and manage trailer security; complete daily HOS logs.
• Maintain clean equipment and work area; perform other duties as assigned.
