Job summary

PFG Customized in Mansfield, OH is seeking an entry level Driver Trainee. You will learn to operate tractor trailers and straight trucks on local and interstate routes, with safety at the forefront and DOT compliance guiding every step of the job.

This role requires a CDL A Permit, the ability to lift heavy freight (60–90 lbs), and a commitment to complete training programs. Pay starts at $20 per hour with a 4- or 5-day work week, and includes comprehensive benefits once enrolled.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must have CDL A Permit.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Meet all state licensing/certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and road test.
• Must attain and maintain DOT Health Card.
• Able to lift and move product cases/freight up to 60–90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program.
• Ride-with and assist driver trainer during deliveries.
• Perform pre/post-trip safety checks as per DOT regulations; report issues.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer load, verify invoices, and complete required paperwork.
• Drive to deliver customer orders according to route schedule; unload at customer sites.
• Ensure equipment and freight are secured; maintain daily hours-of-service logs.
