Job summary

NIS EXPRESS in Corinth, MS is hiring drivers for refrigerated freight with home time about every two weeks. Training pays $850 weekly, plus $300 orientation pay, followed by a $1,000 weekly guarantee during the first 3 months and average weekly pay of $1,300–$1,500.

Expect 1,800–2,000 miles per week on lanes to TX, TN, IL and GA, with 2 weeks home time. Benefits start after 30 days and include 401(k) and stock purchase, plus perks like a free online degree for you and a dependent.

Qualifications

• 21+ years old and valid Class A CDL with at least 120 hours CDL training.
• New drivers welcome; experienced candidates: 6 months in last 12 or 12 months in last 5 years.
• DD214 accepted; clean driving record with limitations as specified.
• Able to pass hair and urine drug testing and verification of work history (3 years).

Responsibilities

• Operate refrigerated freight with drop-and-hook and live loads.
• Maintain safe, on-time delivery across lanes including TX, TN, IL and GA.
• Maintain records and comply with all DOT and company policies.

Corinth is about an hour and a half from Memphis, one of the main hubs for this reefer fleet. That means real freight and real miles for a brand new driver, and home time about every two weeks.

First Things First

• $850 a week in training, one of the higher training rates out there
• 4 to 6 weeks with an experienced mentor
• $300 orientation pay, 2 days or less

When You Go Solo

• $1,000 weekly guarantee for your first 3 months
• Average weekly pay $1,300 to $1,500
• $25 stop pay
• 1,800 to 2,000 miles a week

The Lanes

• Texas to Tennessee, Illinois and Georgia
• Refrigerated freight, drop and hook plus live loads

Home Time

• About every two weeks

What You Need

• 21+, valid Class A CDL, at least 120 hours CDL training
• New drivers welcome. Experienced: 6 months in the last 12 or 12 months in the last 5 years

• Max 2 moving violations in 2 years, nothing serious in 12 months
• No major preventable accidents in 5 years, no DUI/DWI in 5 to 10 years
• Hair and urine drug testing, 3 years verifiable work history
