Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply in Maryland is seeking a CDL A driver to join our delivery team. You will operate tractor-trailer equipment on assigned routes to deliver electrical materials to job sites and contractor yards.

You must maintain a clean motor vehicle record, meet DOT and medical certification requirements, and communicate proactively with dispatch. The role demands safety, reliability, and pride in representing our 130-year company.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license with clean driving record.
• Current DOT and Medical Certification.
• Minimum 3 years driving experience with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and perform physical requirements of the role.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer on assigned routes within the service area.
• Deliver electrical materials accurately and on time to job sites and contractor yards.
• Confirm delivery accuracy before departure and document discrepancies.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch and branch operations if a delivery is at risk of delay.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain DOT compliance.
