Job summary

Aviagen is seeking an experienced Driver II to operate commercial motor vehicles in a safe, compliant manner. You will perform pre-trip inspections, secure loads, assist with loading/unloading, and maintain thorough documentation while following all DOT regulations.

The role requires 3–5+ years of driving, a valid Class A CDL, and the ability to work unsupervised. High school diploma or equivalent is required; live poultry tractor trailer experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of driving experience required.
• Valid Class A CDL with 1 year verifiable safe driving record.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Previous live poultry tractor trailer driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspections and document results.
• Assist with loading and unloading trailers as needed.
• Ensure secure loads before movement and maintain proper paperwork.
• Clean and wash truck and report maintenance issues.
• Comply with DOT safety rules and company policies; perform other duties.
