Job summary

Aviagen in Pikeville, Tennessee is seeking highly experienced Drivers for full-time roles. The drivers' primary responsibility is safe operation of commercial motor vehicles, compliance with DOT rules, and adherence to company policies while transporting poultry products.

Candidates must be 21+, hold a valid Class A CDL with a satisfactory driving record, and be able to perform pre-trip inspections, load handling, and maintain accurate trip documentation.

Qualifications

• Comply with all Department of Transportation regulations.
• Perform and document pre-trip inspection (i.e. tires, oil, fuel, lights, breaks, hoses, etc.).
• Assist with loading and unloading trailer as necessary.
• Ensure secure load before movement.
• Maintain proper documentation (i.e. equipment, time, trips, weight, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial motor vehicle in a safe and secure manner.
• Comply with all DOT safety rules and company policies.
• Perform and document pre-trip inspections.
• Load and unload as necessary and ensure secure load.
• Maintain trip documentation and compliance with regulations.
• Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor.
