Universal Logistics is seeking a Class A CDL driver to operate tractor-trailers on local and regional routes with home daily schedules. You will conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, adhere to DOT regulations, and ensure safe handling of freight.

The role emphasizes on-time deliveries and clear communication with dispatch. Benefits include health, dental and vision after 90 days, PTO and paid holidays, with occasional overtime and weekend work possible.

Formación

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Class A CDL with 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Clean driving record with proven safe-driving history.
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.

Responsabilidades

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport freight to and from customer locations.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
• Follow all DOT regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Secure and handle freight properly (loading/unloading may be required).
• Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport freight to and from customer locations.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
• Follow all DOT regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Secure and handle freight properly (may include loading/unloading depending on the employer).
• Maintain accurate electronic or paper logs, delivery records, and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
• Report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Adhere to schedules while practicing safe driving habits at all times.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL 6 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience
• Clean driving record with proven safe-driving history
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Strong time management & communication skills
