Job summary

Performance Food Group (Performance Foodservice) in Rice, MN is hiring CDL-A drivers to deliver food and related products locally and regionally. Dispatches are early morning five days a week, with potential night layovers and company-paid hotel accommodations plus a food stipend.

Drivers operate tractor-trailers or straight trucks, perform DOT-required safety checks, ensure on-time delivery, unload goods, complete paperwork, and obtain customer signatures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 6+ months commercial driving.
• Valid CDL-A.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Functions as a team member and performs duties to best serve the company.
• Performs safety checks and inspections per DOT regulations.
• Reports safety issues and/or repairs.
• Follows DOT and company safety guidelines.
• Delivers orders according to route schedule.
• Unloads products and processes paperwork.
