Job summary

Performance Food Group in Porter, IN is seeking CDL-A drivers for routes including intrastate and interstate deliveries. The position features 4-day work weeks with night dispatch (11pm–4am) and a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Base salary ranges from $80,000 to $89,000 annually, with comprehensive benefits starting Day 1. Drivers are responsible for safe operation of tractor-trailer or straight trucks, ensuring on-time delivery and proper freight handling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Valid CDL-A license required.
• DOT Health Card required.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Meet state licensing and/or certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally and answers questions accurately and timely.
• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspects tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations.
• Drives to deliver customer orders according to predetermined routes; unloads products at customer locations.
• Verifies delivery and obtains proper signatures; manages trailer loading and securing freight.
• Completes daily hours-of-service records in accordance with federal and company requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
