Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is seeking a CDL Class A Driver for a home daily, Monday–Friday schedule. This local role operates mainly on-site, with routes that bring you home each day. The position offers steady evening hours and daily home time.

You will be responsible for safe delivery, yard moves, and basic load handling while adhering to safety policies. A valid CDL-A and clean driving record are required, with benefits including health insurance and retirement plans.

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Current valid CDL A license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractors with 53-foot trailers and box trucks around the site or on public roads.
• Touch freight for loading/unloading at docks.
• Drive safely and follow all safety policies and practices.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch.

Pay rates starting at $30.50 per hour plus overtime pay is available after 40 worked hours per week and $1.50 per hour shift premium.

About the role

As a CDL Driver, you’ll not only drive our equipment, but you’ll also drive our success! You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily.

What you’ll do on a typical day

• Drive tractors pulling 53-foot trailers and box trucks in and around the site or on public roads
• Touch freight position loading and unloading at docks
• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices
• Perform routine inspections
• Communicate effectively with dispatch

What you’ll need to succeed at GXO

At a minimum you’ll need:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
• Must be at least 21 years old
• A current valid CDL A license and a safe driving record

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
