Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in The Dalles, OR is seeking a CDL Class A Driver – Home Daily. This Monday–Friday shift (4pm–12:30am) offers local routes with home daily, pay starting at $29/hr plus overtime and a $1.50 shift premium.

You’ll operate a 26-foot box truck or 53-foot trailer as needed, perform inspections, load/unload with pallet jacks, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• 6 months of CDL experience operating the same type of equipment or larger in the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Current valid CDL A and an acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Drive 26-foot box trucks and tractor trailers in and around the site or on public roads.
• Touch freight with pallet jacks to load and unload pallets.
• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices.
• Perform routine inspections of vehicles and equipment.

Pay rates starting at $29/hr per hour plus overtime pay available after 40 worked hours per week and a $1.50/hr shift premium.

About The Role

As a CDL Driver, you’ll not only drive our equipment, but you’ll also drive our success! You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily. Most days you will operate a 26-foot box truck but will at times be required to operate a tractor pulling up to 53-foot trailers.

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

• Drive 26-foot box trucks and tractor trailers in and around the site or on public roads

What You’ll Need To Succeed At GXO

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
• Must be at least 21years old
• A current valid CDL A driver’s license and an acceptable MVR

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
