Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a CDL Class A Driver to join our local operation, delivering goods with home daily to a central Texas area. The role operates Monday through Friday, 6am to 4pm, with routes designed for steady local runs and predictable home time.

You will drive tractors and box trucks, perform pre-trip inspections, load/unload freight, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries. We offer comprehensive benefits and competitive pay with overtime.

Qualifications

• 6 months CDL experience operating the same type of equipment or larger in the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors pulling 53-foot trailers and box trucks on local routes.
• Touch freight and assist with loading/unloading at docks.
• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch to coordinate deliveries.

Pay rates starting at $30.50 per hour plus overtime pay is available after 40 worked hours per week.

About the role

As a CDL Driver, you’ll not only drive our equipment, but you’ll also drive our success! You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily.

What you’ll do on a typical day

• Drive tractors pulling 53-foot trailers and box trucks in and around the site or on public roads
• Touch freight position loading and unloading at docks
• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices
• Perform routine inspections
• Communicate effectively with dispatch

What you’ll need to succeed at GXO

At a minimum you’ll need:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
• Must be at least 21 years old
• A current valid CDL A license and a safe driving record

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
