Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move products to customers across our distribution network.

You’ll inspect, drive, log DOT compliance, and unload at customer sites, with a focus on safety and on-time deliveries. We offer up to $120,000 per year, a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 depending on experience, day-one benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid holidays and sick leave, and additional perks.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a working level.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, apply knowledge of regulations and maneuvering skills.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations, document delivery receipt and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience

• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
