Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a CDL-A Delivery Truck Driver to move goods for national brands. You’ll inspect, drive, log DOT compliance, unload at customer sites, and support on-time deliveries.

Offering a competitive annual pay of $85,000–$95,000 with a sign-on bonus up to $7,500, day-one medical/dental/vision, paid holidays, and other benefits. Candidates must be 21+, possess CDL-A, and meet driving experience requirements.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license required.
• Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.
• MVR and risk rating qualifications required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Verify bill of lading and store keys for accuracy for off-hour delivery.
• Drive to destination complying with regulations and maneuvering on customer sites.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT requirements.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $85,000 to $95,000 per year.
• Sign-on bonus: Up to $7,500 depending on experience.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
