Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Truck Driver for regional routes. You will inspect, drive, log hours, and unload at customer sites while adhering to DOT rules. The role emphasizes safety, timely delivery, and maintaining accurate records.

Compensation ranges from $75,000 to $110,000 annually with comprehensive benefits starting day one, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid holidays. Applicants must be at least 21 with a CDL-A and valid driving record.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job duties safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of regulations and maneuvering the vehicle.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations and document delivery receipts and temps.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate: Drivers make $75,000 to $110,000.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
