Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Truck Driver in Temple, TX. The role involves inspecting equipment, loading and unloading products, and delivering to customer locations while adhering to DOT regulations and safety standards.

The position offers a 4–5 day work week with a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits starting Day 1. Candidates must have a valid CDL-A and at least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient for safe operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destinations, applying knowledge of regulations and safe maneuvering.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations and document delivery receipts.

Benefits you can count on:

Pay: $82.000 to $110,000 annually

• Schedule/Hours: 4–5-day work week, NEED availability Mon-Sat

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
