Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Environmental Driver Specialist (CDL A) in North Carolina. You will be responsible for packing, transporting, and disposing of waste materials on your assigned route, following all environmental policies.

Expect up to four overnight stays per week with hotel coverage and per diem. Qualified candidates hold a High School Diploma or GED, a valid CDL A, and endorsements (Hazmat/Tanker) with TWIC, and must pass a DOT medical, drug screening, and background check.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required.
• Must pass DOT physical, drug test, and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Travel to locations on assigned route to pack, transport, and properly dispose of waste material in accordance with environmentally responsible policies and procedures.
• Occasional overnight travel up to 4 nights per week with paid hotel expenses and nightly per diem.

Job Description:

Qualifications:

To qualify, you must have a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License. By law, you must be at least 21 years of age. Preferred qualifications are a TWIC Card,Tanker endorsement, and Hazmat endorsement (must be obtained if hired). As you will interact with customers and internal staff, fluency in English (verbal and written) will be important.

The successful candidate will be required to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check.
