Job summary

American Driver LLC is seeking new CDL holders in Pasadena, TX and the Southeast Houston area for regional driving that keeps you close to home. You start with a paid mentor and progress to solo runs with increasing pay and miles.

You’ll be paid weekly, with $850 during training, $1,000 weekly for the first 3 months solo, and $1,100–$1,300 per week once solo, with 1,700–2,000 miles weekly and home every two weeks.

Out of CDL school with no experience? You start with a paid mentor, then run regional lanes that keep you close to Houston.

The money

• $850 a week during training
• $1,000 a week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo
• $1,100 to $1,300 a week once solo
• 1,700 to 2,000 miles a week
• $15 stop pay

From CDL school to your own truck

1. A recruiter calls you and reviews your CDL and driving record with you.
2. Orientation, 2 days at most. Hotel paid, one-way bus ticket reimbursed, $300 for orientation once hired.
3. 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor: backing, trip planning, logs and fueling. You are paid $850 a week.
4. Your own assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average, automatic or 10-speed. For your first 3 months solo, your pay will not drop below $1,000 a week.

Straight answers for new drivers

• "How often will I see home?" Every two weeks, often through the house.
• "Do I pay for orientation?" No. Hotel covered, bus ticket reimbursed, and $300 once you are hired.
• "What if I have a problem on the road?" Loads are planned for you, and your driver leader picks up the phone.
• "Does my CDL school count?" If it was 120 hours or more, yes.
• "What if my first solo weeks are slow?" You still get at least $1,000 a week for your first 3 months solo.

What you need

• Class A CDL from your state of residence, 21 or older
• New CDL grad with 120+ school hours, or 6 months of recent experience
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
• No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years
• DOT physical and hair and urine drug screen
