Job summary

Miller Industries in Hazel Park, MI is seeking a Warehouse/CDL – Class A Truck Driver for the Shipping Department on 1st Shift from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with overtime on weekends.

You will drive company trucks, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and handle light dock duties. Home daily, with competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, 401k, holidays, PTO, and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CDL-A experience with air brakes endorsement.
• Must pass drug and alcohol test.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Ability to manage routes efficiently.
• Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Transport company products and parts to/from customers, suppliers and Miller Industries locations within Michigan.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain equipment provided by the company.
• Comply with truck driving rules, company policies and procedures.
• Comply with DOT federal/state regulations.
• Handle dock duties such as loading/unloading when not driving.
• Maintain a positive attitude with customers and coworkers.

Who We Want

Miller Industries is seeking a Warehouse/CDL – Class A Truck Driver to work in the Shipping Department on our 1st Shift. The hours are 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday, with overtime as required on the weekends. In this role, you will be working as a company driver and be home daily.

What You Will Be Doing

• Responsible for transporting company products and parts to and from customers, suppliers and Miller Industries locations within the State of Michigan.
• Required to perform inspections before and after a trip.
• Maintain equipment provided by Company.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Comply with all DOT federal/state regulations.
• When not driving, will have some dock responsibilities including loading unloading trucks.
• Maintain a positive attitude with customers and fellow employees.
• Other duties as assigned.

What Requirements Are Needed

• Minimum 2 years CDL-A experience and CDL-A License required with air brakes endorsement.
• Must pass drug and alcohol test.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible.
• Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with customers and the public.
• Conduct daily inspections both pre-trip and post-trip of the truck and trailers hauled and report any problems or damage to management.
• Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and DOT regulations.
• Comply with Federal/State Environmental, Health, and Safety Regulations.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
• Ability to perform warehouse functions such as drive forklift or pallet jack to push, pull, lift, stack, tier or move products to and from trailers and trucks.
