Job summary

Estes Forwarding Worldwide is seeking a qualified Driver, Drayage to haul international and domestic freight from multiple locations. You will perform pre-trip inspections, operate in-cab tech, and comply with FMCSA rules while delivering reliable service.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, willingness to travel up to 90%, and the ability to work across diverse terrains. EFW offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits in the Illinois area.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Must drive a tractor-trailer for FMCSA requirements.
• Ability to operate a forklift (7500 lb. vehicle).
• Must be capable of dropping/hooking and coupling trailers.
• Must drive all routes in diverse terrains.
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL; HazMat/Tanker endorsements preferred.
• Travel up to 90% as required by business needs.
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; EFW does not sponsor.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight between railroads, ports, and warehouses.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety.
• May use in-cab technology, including electronic logs.
• Drive different schedules and perform dock work as needed.
• Maintain compliance with FMCSA requirements and safety rules.
• Report maintenance problems to Fleet Services or supervision.
• Adhere to C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers.
