Job summary

Performance Food Group's Performance Foodservice is hiring a Shuttle Driver in California. You will transport empty trailers to warehouses and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations, complying with DOT rules and company safety standards.

Required: CDL A with doubles endorsement, 12 months of driving, clean MVR, and ability to pass background checks and drug tests. You will work a Sunday-Thursday schedule starting between 5PM–7PM with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• CDL A with Doubles Endorsement required.
• 12 months commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma/GED or state approved equivalent.
• Meet all state licensing/certification requirements.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and company standards.
• Report safety issues or required repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect trailers for proper load security.
• Ensure route paperwork is available at dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers per schedule; complete hook/unhook procedures.
• Park and store trailers; secure all equipment and freight.
• Handle damaged goods and returns; complete paperwork.
• Unload equipment and keep areas tidy; maintain logs as required.
• Complete daily hours-of-service records per regulations.
