Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move products to customers and support day-to-day distribution operations. You will perform pre/post trip inspections, load confirmations, and safe deliveries to customer premises with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires a valid CDL-A, at least 21 years old, and 1 year or 50,000 miles of driving experience. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including medical, dental, vision, and sign-on incentives.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $80,000 to $90,000, while our top earners make up to $110,000
• Sign-on bonus: Up to $10,000, depending on experience.

3rd Shift Dispatch.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
