Performance Foodservice is seeking an entry level Driver Trainee in Terre Haute, IN to learn driving tractor-trailer and related routes. You will train under a driver trainer, perform safety checks, and handle deliveries while ensuring DOT compliance.

Responsibilities include route deliveries, unloading, paperwork, and daily logs. Strong communication, reliability, and ability to lift freight are essential, with a $5,000 sign-on and potential to earn up to $90,000 yearly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL A license required and valid.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and road test.
• DOT Health Card valid.
• Able to lift 60–90 pounds and handle freight.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete the Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program.
• Ride with trainer and assist deliveries as required.
• Perform pre/post trip safety inspections per DOT regulations.
• Drive to deliver orders according to route schedule.
• Unload products, verify deliveries, and obtain signatures.
• Complete daily hours-of-service records as required.
• Maintain clean, secure equipment and work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
