Job summary

Performance Food Group in Springfield, MO is seeking an entry-level Driver Trainee to learn tractor-trailer deliveries to local customers. CDL A is required and you will complete the Driver Trainee program while earning competitive pay and benefits.

You will participate in safety inspections, DOT-compliant operations, route deliveries, and unloading while gaining hands-on experience on local and interstate routes.

Qualifications

• Training in PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee program completed with safety-focused operations.
• Perform pre/post trip safety checks and inspections per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Handle paperwork and verify deliveries with customers; collect payments when required.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete the Entry Level Driver Trainee program.
• Ride with driver trainer and assist with deliveries.
• Drive to deliver customer orders per schedule; unload and verify items.
• Ensure tractor/trailer and freight are secured at all times; complete daily logs.
