Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Springfield, MO is seeking an entry level Driver Trainee to learn operating a tractor trailer or straight truck for local and intrastate routes delivering food products to customers. A CDL A is required and training will be provided.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with layovers and occasional Saturdays, with 12+ hour days at times. Average pay is $83,000 annually with comprehensive benefits starting Day 1.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 1 year of service in good standing (Internal candidates) as outlined in entry level program.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program.
• Ride with and assist driver trainer during deliveries.
• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections per DOT regulations.
• Drive to and deliver customer orders according to route schedule.
• Unload and verify delivery, collect signatures and payments where required.
